The Chesapeake Bay season that runs through the end of the year is starting to heat up, as bigger fish have started to show in the deep channel that runs through the high level spans of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel. Anglers drifting live eels or chunking with pieces of cut menhaden can find fish from the shoals off Fisherman’s Island all the way northwest past Kiptopeke, the Cabbage Patch and Old Plantation Light.
Many of these bigger striper also will start setting up shop along the entire CBBT span for exciting action throughout December.
