Twin Yamaha F300s will power the new Regulator 31 center console.
Regulator Marine added a 31-footer to its fleet of rugged center consoles, bridging the gap between its 28- and 34-foot models.
Twin Yamaha F300s will power the boat, which will hold a massive cockpit and will be outfitted with an oversized tackle center and the fish boxes and rod holders necessary for offshore fishing.
Like the Regulator 41, the 31 will have a starboard dive door, integrated forward seat backrests and other creature comforts.
“As we started planning for the 2017 model year, we were focused on the sweet spot between the 28 and the 34, and we have achieved it with the 31,” company president Joan Maxwell said in a statement. “This boat is a hardcore fishing machine that gives you more space without sacrificing performance, plus it has every amenity you need for a day on the water with family and friends.”
The 31 will ride a Lou Codega-designed deep-vee hull. He has designed all Regulators since the company was founded.
“Regulators are known for their soft rides, dryness and good handling — and this boat will deliver in all of these areas,” the naval architect said in an interview this morning with Trade Only Today.
Regulator will be taking orders this summer for the new 31. The boat show debut has not been announced yet.
