Regulator Marine recently held its 2011 Regulator Marine University.
The event was held Dec. 5-6 at the Regulator plant in Edenton, N.C. It provides domestic and international sales staff with valuable tools and product knowledge.
After being awarded a “Bachelor of Science in Regulator Product Knowledge,” “the newly minted graduate understands the intricacies of Regulator’s unique and continually improving construction process,” according to the company.
This year’s event featured as a guest speaker Yamaha’s Dean Burnett, vice president of Yamaha Marine Group, updating attendees on the state of the marine industry. In addition, award-winning marine architect and longtime Regulator adviser Lou Codega supported Owen Maxwell as he presented “Concept to Finished Boat.”
“Hosting Regulator Marine University is such a pleasure for it provides us an opportunity as a business family to reflect and celebrate our blessings for the past year,” company president Joan Maxwell said in a statement. “It also provides us a great environment to synchronize our efforts in determining how we can best serve our customers and provide them with the finest offshore sports fishing experience in the industry.”
After dinner on the final evening, awards were presented, including 2011 Dealer of the Year to Comstock Yacht Sales of Brick, N.J. and Salesperson of the Year to Ted O’Neill of All Seasons Marine Works of Rowayton and Westport, Conn.
Mid-Atlantic Salesperson of the Year went to Brent Floyd of Atlantic Marine, Wrightsville Beach, N.C.; and Southeastern Salesperson of the Year went to Dan Hunt of Boat World of Florida, Lighthouse Point, Fla.
