The Cape May Rips was the striper hot spot this week, as many keeper size fish to 35 pounds could be found gobbling up live spot, eels or bunker chunks. Tautog fishing remains steady on the inshore wrecks and reefs in the 40- to 60-foot depths. Sporadic bluefish schools were actually still hanging around this week and could be trolled or jigged with metals.
