A 33,000-square-foot addition is under construction between Mercury Marine’s Plant 3 and 15.
A routine site plan was approved by the City of Fond du Lac and was necessary to obtain a building permit.
“It’s a large building, but it doesn’t look that large when you look at the overall plant,” said Community Development Director Wayne Rollin. “A year and a half ago, we thought the company might not be here at all. So this is definitely good news for the community. It’s not a major expansion, but any expansion is a good thing.”
