Fall Brawl King Classic
Jay Bucklen of Wake Forest and his Cape Contender crew – Jason Einbinder of Greensboro, and Jonathan Stiener of Crown Point, Ind. – caught a 56.80-pound king mackerel and won the Oct. 23-24 Yellowfin/Yamaha Fall Brawl King Classic at the Ocean Isle Fishing Center at Ocean Isle Beach.
The fish, the largest caught in an OIFC contest, earned $15,053 for the anglers, who also won the category for boats 23 feet in length and smaller aboard Bucklen’s Team Wake Falls Marine 21-footer.
The two days of competition drew 245 boats.
