Family takes action to help rebuild Lynnhaven Fishing Pier in Virginia Beach

The November Nor’easter in 2009 showed no mercy for the man-made Lynnhaven Fishing Pier.
"My father and four partners built it in 1956," said Barbara Duff, owner of the Lynnhaven Fishing Pier.
Barbara and Hoyt Duff are determined to rebuild what nature took away. The storm damage to the pier is extensive and huge portions were wiped out.
"So we can use all the help we can get," Barbara said.
It will take money the Duffs don’t have to return the tattered pier to its historic splendor.
"My goal is to borrow as little as possible and pay it back as quick as possible," said Hoyt Duff, co-owner of the Lynnhaven Pier.
