Not too many people fishing today. Talked to a few guys on the beach it was a bit slow today. We should see everything steadily improving along with the weather. The blues usually come in pretty regularly this time of year. Surf fishing for black drum, red drum, and rockfish we have Delmarva modified fish finder rigs(they have been proven around here( One of the professionals who frequents the shop has used this rig concept for a long while now), Hatters Style Rigs(short snell good for casting), and regular 3 way drum rigs which are also sufficient. There are plenty of baits that will work the most popular for black drum seem to be sea clams, peelers, and cut bait( mullet and bunker). Many times for the puppy drum scale the finger mullet but in half diagonally. That’s the report for today…Jimmy
PalomarKnot: Easy to tie, doesn’t slip. Very dependable.
1) Double a 12" to 15" length of PowerPro and pass the loop through your terminal tackle.
2)Put it through the eye twice if you can.
3)Make a simple overhand knot.
4)Pass your terminal tackle through the loop
5)Tighten the knot by pulling on the tags, and trim.
Once you have this know down you can even tie it in the dark. If you still cant figure it out stop on by we will show you how to do it you will be a pro in tying this knot in no time.
