Midnight Sun Forums: Marlin Fever

I’ve found that marlin fever is a tough fever to shake.  We had some great days on the ocean for the ten days we were at Va. Beach.  Caught a lot of white marlin, dolphin, and small tuna’s.  Had a few pretty days, and a lot of rough days, but I just can’t put into words what we saw and learned while I was down there.  At times the marlin were on the surface splashing and jumping like bluefish, and birds were all over them.  I will stop going on and on, and let the pictures do the talking.  Just want to thank everyone who came down and fished with us, what a ten days!

Gary Howke, fighting the first marlin of the trip on our new Release prototype reel.  This reel is only in the test stages, but looks to be a great all around reel.

Dolphin always proved to be great action.

Thanks gang enjoyed fishing with ya’ll.

You can’t have anything but a good day when  you see a sunrise like this over a slick cam ocean, and what a day it was.

David Nova with one of the first marlin of the day.

Another release with a release reel.

Luke Jennings with a bailer dolphin.
