Some oily little fish in the Chesapeake Bay are causing a big stink.
The fish are called menhaden, and depending on who’s talking, they either are in big trouble or getting along swimmingly.
The answer is important because, even if you never have seen menhaden, they probably affect you in some way.
Bony and virtually inedible, menhaden get processed into heart-healthy omega-3 fish oils sold as food supplements.
