With hunting season in full swing, the school year under way, all the distractions that pop up on the news each night, and the weather the past few weeks being more "off" than "on," it’s under-standable that a lot of anglers have fallen out of the loop of knowing what’s going on with local fishing these days. I guess that’s why it seems that every time we experience even just a day or two of pleasant conditions, my phone starts to ring with folks calling to find out if there’s anything biting anywhere. It’s interesting that so many are surprised to hear that not only are there still a lot of fishing options to chose from, but some of the action is far better than what goes on during the regular summer season.
